FOSTEX R8

8-track/8-channel ¼ reel to reel tape recorder reproducer

Very compact unit, simple to use and delivering extremely sharp, crisp sound

Can be hooked on to synchronizer and midi equipment

This was the first of its kind ever built, back in 1989

With this deck, you won’t need the large 10.5” reels, as it works with 7” reels at 15”/s speed

It has Dolby Noise Reduction and lots of interesting features

Transport is smooth and the return to zero option or to 7 other select points is extremely precise

Fast forward and rewind functions are very quick and can also be use for cueing

The control panel can be used as a remote control, as seen on pictures below, allowing a more convenient horizontal access to all controls

The deck is being sold in its original sturdy carry case with a downloaded pdf printed copy of the operation manual

Small in size and fitted with a top handle to carry it around, this little beauty will not take up much room so that it can be installed and used even if you don’t have a specially allocated music room for your recordings
